Xmas, holidays, summer break, winter break, end-of-year festivities; the list of adjectives that describes the period formerly known as “Christmas” goes on.
So what happened? How did the greater part of the world adopt an event as historic as this, then morph it into something so vastly different from it’s origins that it is barely recognisable? I think it is because the name of Christ offends.
