The title of this post is a quote by Xaviera Hollander in her book “The Happy Hooker”. I read that when I was 14 or 15 years old. Xaviera’s life is not one that I desire, or even admire really, but somehow that phrase has stuck in my head. For me it has meant that worthwhile things are obtained, for the most part, slowly and with persistence. So, in view of this today I have:
- Exercised with a friend
- Washed some dishes
- Done some gardening and sprinkler maintenance
- Put up a pool for my kids to play in
“Softly, softly catchee monkey…”
