As a kid I was a great fan of Christmas carols (I still am). In particular was this one record (yes kids – a record) the cover of which I have been able to find and show here thanks to the wonders of the Internet. Mostly, Christmas carols were just little ditties that I listened [...] Today my oldest son turned 13. It is a milestone I have thought about several times over my life, calculating how old I would be when my first teenager appeared. I am stunned by the pace with which I have arrived at this point. I often reflect on my younger years now and marvel [...] You are probably nothing at all like me, and if that is true then Facebook for you is just good fun (as long as you’re not too concerned about internet privacy that is). Me? It is the challenge that melds the “versions of me” into one. I have avoided being friends with some people [...] Cam Harris is an inspiring man with a writing gift who is on a difficult journey; one that he stopped documenting [publicly] in late 2008. If you need to lift yourself out of self pity, or you just need a decent read about something thought provoking and sometimes challenging, check out his blog. For those of us that are no longer thirty-somethings and who have done the family-thing life may now be seeming…different.
